Ability to quote a message

One of the things missing at LinkedIn messaging itsel (and thus could be a game changer in here), is the ability to "reply" to a message.
I imagine like you could click on a message and "quote" it before adding your own response, so like this you can respond to individual messages. Especially if you're in a lively conversation it could be difficult to send a proper reply and make it easy to see to what it relates.
Would love to see this implemented in here.

Thank you Hans! Let's see how the feature could look like.
The thing is - obviously - LinkedIn does not have this feature natively. So I would say that we must keep a kind a retro-compatibility for the LinkedIn messaging.
What about this :
- in Poked messaging we would have a button "quote" on every messages
- when clicking "quote", the textarea would be pre-filled with "in reply to « [an-extract-of-the-quoted-message] »"
- you remain free to edit the textarea and add your reply.
This means that the LinkedIn member will a receive the message with the "in replay to «... »".

François Rouault yeah indeed I was thinking something along those lines indeed. To make it compatible with LinkedIn but enhance their features like this. Maybe make this sentence editable in the user settings, so you can adapt it to your local language or something like this (but that is not needed as the minimum to get this working)
